How channel data is handled.
Expo YouTube channel insights is operated by Rami Maalouf to help authorized collaborators understand the Expo YouTube channel's performance. The dashboard is in development. This policy covers the public information site and the local channel-connection tool, and describes the intended analytics workflow.
Information the app accesses
With an authorized channel manager's consent, the app requests two
Google permissions: youtube.readonly and
yt-analytics.readonly. These allow it to read channel and
video information and YouTube Analytics reports, and to configure bulk
reporting jobs. It does not request permission to upload, edit, or
delete videos.
The analytics workflow may read video IDs, titles, publication dates, thumbnails, views, watch time, retention, engagement counts, subscriber changes, traffic sources, and thumbnail impressions and click-through rates. It uses aggregate reports; it does not seek the identities of individual viewers.
Why the information is used
Channel data is used to compare video performance, understand packaging and retention, and evaluate possible follow-up videos. Google authorization credentials are used only to connect the authorized channel and refresh that connection.
Storage and access
The current setup tool saves OAuth credentials in a private local directory excluded from source control. Reporting jobs are created with YouTube; report ingestion and shared dashboard storage are not yet deployed. Downloaded analytics will be kept in operator-controlled storage and made available only to collaborators authorized to access that channel.
This public site does not display channel analytics or provide a sign-in to private data. Future read-only agent integrations must use the same access restrictions. The policy and authorization experience will be updated before additional data uses or integrations are introduced.
Sharing and Google data use
Channel data is not sold or used for advertising. It is not used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. Infrastructure providers may process information as necessary to host the service. Google data is used only for the analytics functions described here and for the collaborators authorized to use them.
Expo YouTube channel insights' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Retention, revocation, and deletion
Credentials are retained while the channel connection is needed. Analytics history, when collected, is retained for channel-performance analysis while authorized. You can revoke the connection through your Google Account connections at any time. Revocation stops future access; it does not itself delete previously downloaded files.
To request deletion of saved credentials or channel data, contact rami.maluf@gmail.com. The operator will verify your authority over the channel and remove the applicable stored data, including retained copies under the operator's control. YouTube's own data remains governed by Google's policies.
